Unlike its predecessor, Borderlands 2's 3rd person mod is less 'working' than Borderlands 1's. They are some issues when it comes to (especially) combat and interactions with the surroundings. Still, these are not game changing issues and easily resolved. Just follow the guide as follows:
First, you would require 2 items. The Cheat Engine (to be installed), and the Mod ( .CT file). Freely download them from the links given previously.
After obtaining them, follow these steps:
- Install the Cheat Engine.
- Run the 3rd person Mod (.CT).
- Run the game.
- Once at the menu screen, load a character, first.
- You are now in game with the selected character. Return back to the Cheat Engine program.
- Select the 'highlighting' Computer icon.
- The program will detect that Borderlands2.exe is running. Find and select it by double-clicking it.
- Now, activate the Third Person mode in the engine by clicking it.
- Return back to the game. Once in game, press F5 (default) to activate the third person view.
You have successfully implemented the 3rd person mod! Note however you have to redo this process every time you play. It will become a natural habit next time.
